Camden Yoga and Wellness with Nancy Tuccillo
Yoga -What to Bring: A yoga mat, yoga strap, yoga block and Mexican or wool firm
blanket. Some of these supplies can be purchased at Walmart, KMart, Target
or TJ Maxx. See my Favorite links page for some good online resources.
Please call Nancy if you have difficulty finding these items or have questions.
Some students like to bring a hand towel to pad their hands or feet. I have some supplies to share, however, if
you have special needs, it’s best to have your own supplies. Without your own
supplies, you are unable to sustain a practice at home. I prefer an 8ft D-ring
buckled strap, a 68-72 inch mat (72 or longer if you are tall) and at least one
foam or cork block and a Mexican blanket. These will give you the most
versatility in your practice. They will last a very long time! There are more
details on the FAQ page.
What to Wear for yoga: Comfortable clothes that allow movement with an
elastic waist. Yoga is practiced in bare feet, so slip on shoes would be most
convenient.
What to Eat before yoga: It is best to practice yoga on an empty
stomach. If you have a medical condition that requires you to eat before class
then please just eat a light snack. If you are Diabetic please bring something
sweet in your mat bag to in case of sudden drops in blood sugar.
Tai Chi - Wear comfortable clothes with flat sole shoes(flip flops not
advised). You and your smile are the only equipment needed!
Bring an open mind. Be prepared to learn and enjoy!
Please refrain from wearing scented colognes, aftershave or lotions.
Please turn off pagers and cell phones.
Please be early or on time to class to get settled. There are often unseen emergencies that arise. If this happens to you, please enter quietly and unroll your mat quietly. Join in when you are ready. Habitual lateness is disruptive to your fellow classmates and the teacher. Please have respect for others.
Illness- We all come down with colds and upper respiratory illnesses from time to time. Please don’t share the love! Please be courteous and stay home if you might be contagious. Students may make up the classes at any other class during the current session. If I get sick, I have to cancel the class for everyone, so please think of others.
Severe weather – In case of severe weather, please check your email 1 hour prior to class. I will notify you by email if I need to cancel for some unforeseen reason.
