Yoga -What to Bring: A yoga mat, yoga strap, yoga block and Mexican blanket. These can be purchased on-line or at Walmart, KMart,Target or TJ Maxx. For one stop shopping go to my home page and click on the link for all your yoga needs. Please call Nancy if you have difficulty finding these items or have questions. Blankets aid in enhancing sitting alignment, comfort and are necessary for some poses. I have some blankets to share, however, if you need more than one, please purchase a firm mexican or wool blanket on your own to bring to class.
I prefer an 8ft D-ring buckled strap, a 68-72 inch mat (72 or longer if you are tall) and at least one foam or cork block and a mexican blanket. These will give you the most versatility in your practice. They will last a very long time!
What to Wear for yoga: Comfortable clothes that allow movement, elastic waist. Yoga is practiced in bare feet, so slip on shoes would be most convenient.
What to Eat before yoga: It is best to practice yoga on an empty stomach. If you have a medical condition that requires you to eat before class then please just eat a light snack.
Tai Chi - Wear comfortable clothes with flat sole shoes(flip flops not advised). You and your smile are the only equipment needed!
Bring an open mind. Be prepared to learn and enjoy!
Please refrain from wearing scented colognes, aftershave or lotions and please turn off pagers and cellphones.
